Spotlight on Rose …

"I grew up in West Virginia, but I moved to Arlington, Virginia where I lived for 27 years working for Raytheon Company – a defense contractor – as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President of our office. My former boss represented Raytheon’s President and Chief Executive Officer on the President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee – a research and reporting committee that makes recommendations to the President of the United States.

When my former boss retired, I decided to explore opportunities that would allow me to move back to West Virginia. I was excited to receive a call from Time Solutions for an opportunity in West Virginia, and my husband and I have enjoyed moving back home, being around family and friends, and restoring our circa 1903 Victorian-era home."

Right out of grad school I started working for the State Senate of Georgia translating ideas from state leaders into policy, guidelines, and effective communications. On a regular basis, either an individual or a specific event will help me improve, enrich, or add to what I have to offer professionally."

It was also about future career placement, professional growth, and job satisfaction."

Work role and expertise …

"The level of expertise I encounter every day! When it hits the news, I already know something about it. Working in the CDC offers the rare opportunity to be inside a global authority of public health. It’s a place of innovation, supreme intellectual capacity, and discovery. Each day provides a new look into research, strategic thinking, and partnerships that literally invites the world to join in the conversation and form an alliance to save lives, protect people, promote health, and prevent disease."
